Description
Elevator Technologies Laboratory was established in 2003 at the ITU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in the 382 numbered space, with the support of both the university and the elevator industry, in order to respond to the needs of the elevator and its sub-industry and to carry out undergraduate and postgraduate academic studies. The working areas of the laboratory have been determined as the inspection and testing of hydraulic and traction elevators and safety equipment, and in addition to this, it is planned to carry out studies on elevator control and control systems. It consists of a closed space where tests of elevators and equipment will be carried out, an office space suitable for necessary training and office work, and a workshop space that allows mechanical works such as repair-sample preparation to be carried out.
